Are the GNR tracks on the GH cd remastered or better in any way than the original ones on AFD and UYI? I really don't want to buy it for 'Sympathy for the Devil'...

They were indeed remastered. Really it is up to one's opinion to decide wheather they sound "better" or not. Although, I think the tracks sound much crisper and basically more "2004". yes

The appetite tracks sound a little crisper, but just a little (no better than the Appetite Gold LE that's floating around).? The UYI tracks sound the same, to me, as do the SI tracks. Unless you're gaga for Sympathy or you just want all the songs on one CD, I'm not sure it's worth paying full price for it, especially if you own all their albums already.  Hell, DL Sympathy and make your own if ya got a burner. Not worth buying - there are better ways to spend that money:

...appetite tracks do sound crisper, cant decide if better tho. depends on your point of view though i suppose - it def helps in making the record seem more whole as a collection (blends the differences in production a bit)

but if u act love sympathy like i do then you'll want to buy it for that! (hell, i bought the interview with a vampire soundtrack for sympathy alone!)

i should perhaps start a new thread for this, but am gonna say it anyway -  i understand that im in the minority for loving the sympathy cover, but i would like to know why?! is it because it is so telling of the inevitable break-up of the band? .......

I bought it for $5 at CD Plus, I had bought enough stuff there I filled my $10 Off your Next Purchase Card....If you can get it cheap, it's probably worth it. I think it sells for about $8.99 around here now. Really the reason to get it would be for Sympathy or to have a version of Ain't It Fun? with the word "cunt" edited out.
