New member here.

I don't have the VR cd yet, but I was wondering if Izzy wrote or cowrote any songs that made it onto contraband.

Thanks
Jon

Wasn't he supposed to release a solo album before that one? "Like A Dog"?  confused

I hope we get to hear some of that stuff one day because I think it might be pretty good.....

They said in some interview after the fact that the songs they recorded with Izzy sounded more GNR than GNR did, so it wasn't anything that really interested Scott. I would give my left arm to hear those songs given the guys seemed to think they were really GNR sounding, which I guess makes sense given that the 4 of them all were in the band, but man would those be awesome to hear.

There used to be VR Bootlegs on kazaa, maybe their still there, that sounded like AIC or even weaker Sabbath songs, but im not sure if Izzy wrote them. It definately didnt remind me of GNR, but i can tell it was Scotts voice. Some forums were freaking out saying it wasnt VR or Scott, but not many bands have a singer who sounds anything like Scott, or can sound decent in that type of music, so it was kind of obvious.

Huh

Theres been no unreleased VR songs..."Pleasin" was a Project demo with Brad Cox...And theres been demo versions of "FTP," "LTA," "Big Machine," and "Slither."  Everything else is fake.
