The? vid is lame
why do you even come to the VR section of the site ?

oh! now i get it, you can only praise VR in VR section...
i never said that!
hey i thought it was a girly song myself till I saw thw emotions behind it, reflected in the video.
but, i would like to know why it's lame. and why the fuck did he have to bring up the GH and contaband comparison....completely unecessary.

The? vid is lame and if im not mistaken the GHs album is higher on the charts than contraband.
Atleast it was? a few weeks ago.

Is it just me or is it just an assonine thing to compare Greatest Hits to Contraband.  Dave is using GH's to Say Axl is doing better or using GH's to support his claim that the current GnR is better then VR. If you think about it on GH's there is 3/6 (or 3/5) of the GH's members in VR on contraband. When you say something like GH's is selling better its not an insult to VR, its their past and right now they have TWO PLatinum albums to back them up as they are doing a world tour.

If you want to put VR down with numbers or chart positions, Dave, you need to wait til CD comes out for a few weeks then you can crunch the numbers and put down VR. You can't just say GH's is selling better or "when CD comes out its gonna sell huge and out do VR" those are just your opinion and you're gonna have to wait til your ideas become facts.

it doesnt just people making stupid comparisons. Vr is not GNR. stop comparing the two bands. Slash, Duff, and Matt can still play. so there no need to compare them to the past.

I try to not have any feuds with people on this board but Dave u r one biased motherfucker.  GH has absolutley nothing to do with gnr just stop pissing people off with ur blind loyalty to axl.  Vr aint gnr. FTP vid has nothing to do with GH. And axl hasnt done anything to prove that CD will do much better the Contraband.  You can comeback with ur post about how great maddy and the blues are too and sound even more fucked up by judging the success of an album thats been in the making 4 like 10 years over too pretty good songs they played live (i may be putting words in ur mouth but thats usually how people that senselessly think CD will dominate VR and if i im wrong about ur opinion im sorry and id like to hear what it is).  Sales dont really matter in rocknroll in my opinion. Rock should be judged by how much u enjoy the music not by comparing the GH of a band the debut of a band with ex members in it.  And yes GH does have better songs on it and thats cuz its a collective compliation of the "best" songs from the entire 1 of the best bands in history. Comparing  that to the debut cd of a band that was made in like 1 and a half years is retarted. So please either open ur mind a little or suck up to axl somewhere else cuz all ur doing here is pissing people off and making urself sound retarted (and i think i can speak for a lot of people when i say that but if im wrong id like other members to tell me but thats just the impression i get).

All I have to say is that during the VR concert here in Toronto, the one and only song that really stood out on it's own and really struck me emotionally was "Fall to Pieces".  It is a beautiful song and I am so glad it was released as a single.  The video is also very good.  I haven't heard Fall to Pieces on the radio all that often... hmmm... seems to me that making a few requests are definitely in order! I've heard it on the radio quite a few times on a pure rock station. If VH1 or MTV stopped with all the bullshit shows(like real world and a-z/best week ever) maybe I would get to see some videos.

I kind of liked the video.  It wasn't an overblown reduction and if you know anything about Scott, you know there is a real sense of truth to it.  I'm really hoping we get a 'You Got No Right' video for the fourth single...

As for the comparison to the Greatest Hits sales, that's really comparing apples and oranges.   People try to some how relate that as Axl being more popular than VR.  It has absolutely nothing to do with Axl and his new line up.  If anything, it's a great statement about how great and influential the original GN'R were.  I'm anxiously waiting Axl's CD to finally drop, but I really think to many people outside of these forums, 'Guns N Roses' will always refer to the original line up.  Just my opinion!
