Daily Record Friday, August 6, 2004 Page 26THE music from The Blues Brothers has been voted the best film soundtrack.

Soul legends Aretha Franklin, James Brown and Ray Charles sang in the movie,starring John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd as brothers fleeing trouble as they resurrect their band.

Second was Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction, which featured Kool And The Gang's Jungle Boogie and Dusty Springfield's Son Of A Preacher Man.

Trainspotting's mix of Brit pop, punk and techno from Iggy Pop, Primal Scream and Pulp saw it blast into third place.

John Travolta's Saturday Night Fever, featuring the Bee Gees' Stayin' Alive and More Than A Woman, came fourth in the BBC 6 Music poll of 10,000 people.

Dirty Dancing, which featured (I've Had) The Time Of My Life, was voted fifth.

Hitman comedy Grosse Pointe Blank came sixth, thanks to David Bowie, Queen and Guns N' Roses' Live And Let Die.

Tarantino's Kill Bill, volumes 1 and 2, was seventh, while The Royal Tenenbaums came joint ninth with Lost In Translation. Fight Club took 10th place.

BBC 6's Andrew Collins said: 'The Blues Brothers crosses age barriers with its timeless mix of blues and soul. It's a Sound Of Music for hipsters.'

you cant deny the talent of Queen, Bowie, and GNR ok all though ive never scene that movie or heard the soundtrack
so I cant really judge it.
I love the Blues Bro soundtrack yes
