Waay to early to tell on this one, though if there is another tour, you can almost bet it'll start in Europe where sellouts are more likely and Clear Channel does not rule the concert industry with an iron fist. Tongue

It would be a shock if Guns n'roses ever played either the Download festival or Glastonbury

Reading and Leeds would always be favourites. T in the Park could also be an option. I'm not sure about other UK festivals

T in the Park would shock me and yes Glastobury would to but what is so shocking about Download i mean comparing this years Download line-up to Leeds/Reading and i know GN'R would have fitted in much better at Download

GNR won't be doing Glastonbury 2005, U2 have signed to headline the final night and i can't imaging Axl settling for playing second fiddle to anybody, even U2.

I think Axl likes U2

My reason is that the respective promoters of these festivals are quite negative in their opinions on gnr. Although there have been staff changes at CCE UK which could change Download prospects in the future but it is still highly unlikely in my opinion

T in the Park would shock me as well....but Ellis is a colorful character who would consider gnr as an act if they decided to offer their services

Everything Louder Than Everything Else

I thought Download was CC run?  Last time I checked Axl severely pissed off the suits at Clear Channel USA by starting riots and the like.  So surely it's not that likely that GN'R will play a Clear Channel event again, until they can fill stadiums and the bosses get greedy.

I can't see Axl, with his ego, playing any festival in which he can't be the main event or head headliner. With it be Bono's thing I would Imagine U@ would be headlining

I see your point, but I think with the respect Axl has for U2 and Bono, Axl would be thrilled to be asked by him personally to play before U2. I bet they would even do a duet during U2s set  Wink
