Paradise City is a pure Rock n' Roll song, not a "heavy metal" one...
I've never liked the way it was played at Rio 3, it sounds too much brutal, this is not what Guns n' Roses has always been, come on it's not Metallica.
I prefer the 2002 versions, they were more close to the original, just a kick ass Rock n' Roll song. I especially the end of the song  with amazing guitar solos.

Paradise City at Rio 3 was too cool - I loved the heavy, almost industrial-ish punch that they gave it.

I can understand how some people didn't care for it though - It was a surprisingly heavy version of GNR's arguably most recognized tune.

If you don't like the new gnr, you probably won't like PC from Rio III.

I liked it, very  much.

The only thing brutal about Metallica is the fact that they kept making music after "...And Justice For All" but that's a whole other story.

I like the new GN'R and enjoyed the entire RIR 3 show.

I hate the rock in rio 3 version, mainly cause they fuck up the wistle at the begining and axl doesnt sing the right part at the right time.

I have the remasterd version that the rir site had posted.
They fixed it up I think and edited out some of the mistakes.

Sorry, but I gotta say Axl sounds horrible for most of this performance. Just out of breath and completely blew the whistle at the wrong time.

It was perfect for the people who were there. That version (the entire RIR set actually) was just that.

It was not a performance to listen to over and over again on mp3s.

Yeah you would think he wouldnt mess that up but he did. Axl doesnt even know how to blow.  At first i didnt like any of the RIR performance but after watching it a few times it grew on me. I still agree and think it stupid how he messes up blowing.

I thought that PC was butchered at RIR. Right from the start the guitar intro was terrible, the whistle was in the wrong place, the shredding at the end is just completely out of place, I also hate that they add a synthisized guitar part to the song....did we really need 4 guitars during that song??
