vicarious existance is a fucking waste of time

Velvet Revolver are making news everywhere in Australia lately!

Sydney newspaper the Daily Telegraph has a weekly music magazine liftout and VR feature in a 6-page article. There's nothing new mentioned in there that we don't already know apart from Slash mentioning that they hope to tour Australia "sooner rather than later".

And local free music publication Drum Media makes mention of Duff saying he wants VR to be on the next Big Day Out bill which is in January.

Rejoice Aussies, it looks like it's all finally happening!

For those of you who don't know the facts - the last time GN'R were in Australia was in 1993, and Duff's solo 1994 tour along with Snakepit's 2001 tour were both cancelled, so we've been waiting a LONG time to see these guys again!

So until then I can't make mention that Duff mentioned it?

If you see the title of this thread, there's a question mark on the end.
I never said it was official.

I've never been to a Big Day Out becasue of the digusting excuse we have for rock bands these days yes

But if VR come our way for Big Day Out i'll definately fuckin go. I got Slither pounding away and they're playin a Slash's Snakepit song on rage at the moment.

VR get your fuckin asses here and play now!

To say that there are no good rock bands these days is a bit ignorant I think.

Line-ups at recent Big Day Outs have been NIN, Foo Fighters, System of A Down, Queens of the Stone Age, Metallica, Chilli Peppers, Soundgarden and Aussie bands like Silverchair, Butterfly Effect, Skulker, Grinspoon and Living End.
I know those bands aren't GN'R style, but they ARE all good rock bands.

Open you mind to all the great music out there dude. beer

Well it's my opinion. Metallica are good but they played mostly St. Anger stuff apparently so i didn't go for that. And the Chilli Peppers are great but i'm not going to a festival for 1 or 2 bands who are 20 years old. That shows how bad rock is today. 10-20-30 years ago is when rocked ruled and the best bands ever were thats what i meant for the pathetic excuse for rock bands today.

Again, I don't see what you're getting at.

This thread's title is a question, nothing is confirmed.
As you'll see that I wrote that Duff mentioned he would like VR to play at Big Day Out next year. Nothing more, nothing less.

next year will be my 7th Big Day Out, trust me Matt88 when you get their you wont care about the bands, it's all about the atmosphere...n' setlist's Grin

Thought i'd let you know Metallica only played 2 songs off the new one (at BDO n' their own show) , you can always trust Metallica for a mad setlist n' show.

I'll be drivin' to Vic for the Falls Festival on new years maybe, anyone goin'
