Gimme some fuckin' Democracy

« on: April 24, 2004, 09:03:45 PM »

I think GNR should release a live album after CHI-DEM and all are unleashed.
I love live albums and i love Live era, but a good live album to me is one full concert instead of mix n' matching.
If the new GNR we're to do that, what would you expect from it.
I would think 'round 40% old tunes n' the rest new material, even the re-revamped Knockin' cover.

But do you think it would be the right thing way down the track, years from now, to release a live album from 86 to 20??, celebrating GNR's entire career, line ups and everything?
Im abit scetchy with this one but i still think it would be cool, overall i want my CHI-DEM tour live album one day!!! beer drool rofl drool

Lets just be content with the hope that Chinese Democracy will be released before we start talking about another one.

TWhen they release the 3 CDs they have been making (it will be around 2012...), isn?t a good idea release the LIVE ERA 04 (05?)/12?

A new live era...

Why not a Death Era 95-20XX (insert year)? It would be with only Axl's farts and Bucket singin...  drool

Id rather hear studio albums #2 and #3 than a CD live..
CD live would only delay #2 and #3..

Live albums suck anyways.. They are just touched up live one take songs with Crowd noises mixed in the background..  a live album is usually subject to censoring and has all the suits making opinions and such..in the end its no more live than a studio album..

Give me a live audience recording over a "Live Album" anyday...

Bad Idea in imo......

Guys keep in mind, im talkin' down the long road, not after the first release.

I dont like how some songs on Live Era are mixed in the middle, like Patience for example, but a true live album is....ummm.......Slayer-Decade of Aggression and......Pink Floyd-Pulse, from start to finish concert, no mixing or nothin'.
Whats wrong with live albums anyway, i guese there for die hard fans maybe. Wink
I fuckin' love em', hearing that crowd go nuts gives me the goosebumps.
Like Patience on Live Era, i think they picked that version 'cause you hear that crowed lose it and sing so fuckin' load.
It captures the moment, i prefere them over best of...

Did anyone ever wonder why it was called Live Era 87-93?

Why bother with the years?

I think it's clear that they wanted to leave the possibility for future live albums of the new band. i.e. Live Era 02-07 or somethin similar (not necessarily called that, but you get the idea).

One live album is too many......

I want the studio too

But if one live album is too many - bootleggers really wouldn't exist
