I am VERY VERY confused about how many gigs and what dates Snakepit did in Argentina.

http://www.snakepit.org/snkpt1tour.html

here it says:

19   Obras Sanitarias Theatre   Buenos Aires, Argentina
20   Obras Sanitarias Theatre   Buenos Aires, Argentina
21   Obras Sanitarias Theatre   Buenos Aires, Argentina

then, here: http://www.gnrotgm.com/boots/solognr.htm

07.20.1995     Obras Sanitarias Stadium - Buenos Aires, Argentina
07.21.1995    Obras Sanitarias Stadium - Buenos Aires, Argentina
07.23.1995    Obras Sanitarias Stadium - Buenos Aires, Argentina

Macgunner's DVD at dime says ''23''

and almost everywhere are listed only 2 dates, 20 & 21

I am confused as hell, I dont know what the fuck I'm uploading. Can any of you help me?

yes. the word ''vivo'' means ''live'' both in spanish (argentina) and portuguese (brazil)

yes, maybe you're right. I'm not sure. Or maybe the DVD uploaded by Macgunner is from 7/21/95, and not 23.

The setlists I've found from the allegedly 7/23 are THE SAME than 7/21, just with different final songs (Magic Carpet Ride and Dead Flowers are not in Macgunner's DVD)

of what I heard, the tour was like this:

1995-07-20   Obras Sanitarias Stadium   Buenos Aires   Argentina
1995-07-21   Obras Sanitarias Stadium   Buenos Aires   Argentina
1995-07-25   Olympia   Sao Paulo   Brazil

the setlist of this DVD is reportedly different from both 20th and 21st show, so it really looks like the 25th Brazil show. I've never heard of 3rd Argentina show though

esteban, have you been able to find out some more truth about the 1995 Argentina/Brazil shows?
setlist.fm is listing 7/20, 7/21 (both with setlists) and 7/23 Argentina and 7/26 Brazil (both without setlists).
I have a DVD which is supposed to be from 7/23, authored by AsXpLy, the setlist looks like 7/21 though.
the video is different from the other two 7/21 DVDs I have, but it's the VIVO source so it might just be another angle shot.
I have yet to compare the audio and find what the hell was the correct date.

edit: OK just compared. the VIVO is the same as the 7/21, so I guess we have this sorted out.

I've again checked the old Snakepit website: http://web.archive.org/web/19990508203132/http://www.snakepit.org:80/snkpt1tour.html
it indeed doesn't list a 7/23 Argentina show. but instead, it lists 7/19, 7/20 and 7/21 Argentina shows, and 7/24 and 7/25 Sao Paulo Brazil shows + 7/26 Rio de Janeiro Brazil show.
the same is listed on this page http://www.slashparadise.com/bands/slash-snakepit-tour-1995.php#south-american-leg-1995
so yeah, count me amongst people who are confused as hell too, even after 23 years those shows happened hihi

and to add even more to the confusion: there was a special show in Hong Kong in 1995, broadcasted as "V at the Hard Rock". again, it's listed at setlist.fm as 1995-12-19, but other sources say 1995-02-05 (that might fit a bit better into the schedule, as Snakepit was touring the Far East during that time). footage here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HyI5O1Ad21g

and one more. there's a studio clip, usually labeled "Slash, Duff and Matt jamming", supposed to be from 1998 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tl9qxVlUauI
the problem is, it's really hard to say if the date is correct. because I have no idea such jam happened in 1998 - the first known onstage reunion of those guys was 1991-01-24 at the Slamdance Festival, Park City, Utah. this looks more like 2002-ish, that is pre-VR stuff. but it's not that easy. Matt looks pretty much like he did around 1998, in Neurotic Outsiders era. Slash... is Slash. but Duff's hair look like nothing similar to his 1998-ish style, his hair was indeed short, but not this blonde and not this curly, it was more straight.

these are the real "Oddities from the Past" Grin
