I presume everyone else got this too?

I received an email recently which referenced the Coachella festival and promoted the old greatests hits cd that was released 12 years ago. Anyone else find it bizarre that they are pushing this cd when Axl, Slash and Duff had nothing to do with the original release. If you remember the band came out to say that they had no imput and it was compiled by the record company alone, I believe Slash even said there were too many covers on it.

Who was the email from?  I didn't get one.

If it was from gunsnroses.com then yes it's bizarre.

If it's a music selling site then it's just them trying to capitalize on current events.

"The techniques used in marketing include choosing target markets through market analysis and market segmentation, as well as understanding methods of influence on the consumer behavior. The marketing planning creates strategies for the company to place advertising to the dedicated consumer."

There's nothing odd there. Does it work, probably not, as we all have that record already but it's very cheap for them to try it out anyway.

Yeah, you need to tell us who was it from. It simply can't have anything to do with the band. I assume you have ordered some records online and now their sophisticated algorithms have come up with the assumption that you probably like GNR as well.

Don't take spam too seriously, I have a spam email that I use for all registrations and, of course, never read the emails that I receive there.

I seen a video advert a few days ago on the CNN website for the older Greatest Hits too.

They should just get a 2 cd comp. together based on the current tour set, call it something different, and release it.

They should just release the CD II album that is reportedly finished. Why not?

Then drop a Best Of with 2 new songs.

It would go B00m
