I don't think people (often) use the word epic to describe Right Next Door To Hell....  hihi

You?re probably right, but I think it?s a pretty f?n epic opener.
If anyone was worried they might go soft, or take their foot off the gas, RNDTH put those qualms to rest.
Musically, it sounds like a natural progression from AFD, and lyrically, Axl takes his game to a new level.

I remember buying UYI I on vinyl at a used record shop years after it?s release. When I got home to put it on, it opened with Dust N? Bones.
I believe it was a pressing from Japan.
As much as I love that song, it definitely does not set the tempo like RNDTH.

It's a very good and fast rock song, but I think that there are better openers for concerts.

As an album opener I think CD works just fine. It got good reviews in the media as well. That Axl scream at the beginning has something of a symbolic feeling, marking his comeback.

Yes!  That scream is beyond intense.  I was a bit lukewarm on this song when I heard the pre-album live bootlegs, but when I heard the album version... wow.  The 1min build-up capped off with the scream and then launching into that riff, that's fucking blast-off time.  For me, it's a perfect opener.

I think it's as much grunge influenced as it is industrial.I say grunge because of the reliance of bar chords, just a chugging and not a flashy riff....But I still consider it to have a classic rock sound...
