You should have seen the cover they wanted to do. It wasn't a glove, believe me.

Good list overall. I think the AMAs incident goes in there over some others on the list. I would take off #9 and #10 and replace them with the AMAs and the Vegas NYE return show. That NYE show was so exciting, if you were not in the online GNR community at that time I can see how you wouldn't think of it. There was so much excitement about that show.

Pretty good list. And I concur that the AMA thing needs to be on there.
Pretty hard to argue that St. Louis is not #1. But that list was a bit depressing considering how many of the events listed were negative. Which, don't get me wrong, they were. And they were the most infamous events. I just wish more of them were positive.

Good article! There are so many moments. I would have included the AMA and Live in the Ritz. I would have maybe included the concert at Nassau Coliseum in 1991. It was the first time that started the trend of Guns being late.

Really??? I had no idea that was the first show. Did any of the ex band members write about it?

I don't think that this show was anything significant in terms of one of the first for Guns starting to be late. I'm pretty sure even around 86-87, the band was known for going on later than planned. I remember an interview with Vicky Hamilton where she said that Axl used to always be late for the early shows as well, because "he knew that the audience would wait".
I'm pretty sure lateness has been an issue with Guns since the early days...

Yep. That was my first concert ever. There was an article written about it at the time stating that it was the first time Guns was late to a concert. Apparently Axl was hanging out in NYC. They flew him via helicopter and then he got into a hot tub before starting the show.

Isn't this the one that actually started on the wrong side of midnight?
I was at a bootleg trader show way back when and was talking to a guy that filmed it. I think he said it started like quarter after 12.
Am I mixing this up with another show?

D-Generation X, I think you are right. I remember coming home very late and my mother worrying about me since I never called. My friend's brother had to explain to my parents why he dropped me off so late.

Like everyone else, I will say that the incident with Slash and Duff at the 1990 AMAs belongs on the list much higher than a bunch of the other inclusions.
Slash's profanity on live TV that night was the reason they instituted a 7 second delay on live broadcasts. Slash said in his book that he and GNR were banned for years from that TV network.
