Which shows were sold out? Thanks for the info!

Haha, I can totally relate to that...
Since 2006, after seeing 30 shows in 8 different countries. I would estimate I've spent somewhere in the region of ?10,000-?15,000 following GN'R around the world. And I also want to add that I'm one of those people who likes to stay in the best hotels, and money is no object when it comes to cost..... and I also get taxis EVERYWHERE.
I sometimes wish I was able to stay in hostels, and get by in a cost effective manner, like other forum members have.......cough.... cough... "Derby Greg".
But I wouldn't change ANYTHING, I love Guns N' Roses with all my heart.
and always will..... next I need to get my GN'R tattoos done.

Here's my rough math.
The Joint holds about 4000, so the average from the stats above is 2800 per show, which is 70% capacity. Whether that is good or not based on other residencies is beyond me, but I would say that whoever went to the shows got their money's worth and then some.
There were a lot of people who were in Vegas and heard/saw that GNR was playing and decided to go. BTW, advertisement was really, really great, even in the hotel magazines. I saw trucks and cars with signs driving around advertising the shows. These were also the same people who left after one hour or less. The same people who came to hear only SCOM, Patience, Jungle, and maybe YCBM. The rest went past them.
I don't know if 70% full a night is a smashing success or not, nor do I really care. All I know is that the shows I saw kicked ass and I will go again in a heartbeat.

If the place holds 4000 a night and there were 34,000 total for 12 nights, that is about 70%, not 87%. You can round up to 71% if you want, but it is not 87%.
The math: 48000/34000. Am I wrong?

You're wrong. The numbers are right there. The Joint does not have a capacity of 4000.

I'm not sure why you're using "rough math" when the actual total attendence vs total capacity was posted in the very first post in the thread.
The exact percentage is 87.277589 therefore 87%
The people you mention leaving you hit the nail on the head. They're in Vegas for fun and went on a whim, think of them as lookie loos. And I have no doubt the casino comped a few tickets for high rollers.
Overall - this has been the most positive stint GNR has done in the US since the last MSG show.

Did well overall. Out of all the revenue would love to know how the hotel did on additional room bookings, food, drinks and the merchandise. Maybe Ron is right in terms of future residency.... could be the way to go. Gives the band and fans more flexibility. Hard work touring

Hopefully GNR have a documentary/concert film in the works, and they got some candid moments with Axl. Guaranteed a lot of people would go out and see that film, esp. if they get into the past 15 years.
I think we'll see the US shows cut back on touring city to city, just book shows in select cities, and do more road touring in other countries.
Residencies and cruises prob. don't sound "rock n' roll", but any reason you bring fans together for multiple shows usually comes off well and everyone has a great time. Having a production company like AEG involved adds that extra layer of quality to the visuals of the show.
