Was a great gig. Weird hearing Myles sing the GN'R stuff after hearing so much Axl in the last few weeks. Not Myles fault but I don't think his voice/personality fits that stuff! The atmosphere was great... Would love it if Axl would do the up close & personal tour in the Uk.

I was there too  Grin

Stayed until the end of 'Slither' then left to catch the tube back to Waterloo. Think I only missed two songs after that (if setlist.com or whatever is right). Slash's solo during RQ was fucking quality.

My ears are still ringing from last night - it feels like I'm deaf in one ear. Fucking Apollo - get's me every time  rant

I think Myles sounded really good on SCOM. For me, he has his moments where he sounds great and then there are moments when he sounds too shrill for my liking.

I updated the final version of the setlist.fm with my picture of the setlist from the show. The atmosphere was fucking incredible, such an amazing show, minus the first support band Minny Pops.

Yeah, a brilliant show from the second that Halestorm got on the stage until the end.....  fucking loved it.

And yea, Minny Pops were shocking, absolutely shocking.

Wow, 6 songs from the new album, which has gotten only average reviews. I think I preferred the set list from 2011 which had a nice mix of Snakepit, Guns, and VR, plus about 4-5 songs from the first solo album. That was a killer set list.

Yeah I wish Beggars and Hangers On would still be in the set as well some other VR songs.

6 songs out of 20 isn't a lot really and it's nice to hear new stuff.  I saw G n R on 31/05 and whilst it was still a great show, the setlist was very predictable and samey.  Almost identical to 2010.

As for the "average" reviews, I prefer to make up my own mind.  I love the new album and hearing Anastasia getting it's live debut was something special.

Overall it was brilliant night, Halestorm & Slash, Myles & The Conspirators and the crowd were on fire and it really was one of those nights you had to be there.  Fantastic atmosphere/gig.

Where's my cinder block

« Reply #11 on: June 10, 2012, 12:38:30 PM »

Personally I hope they do more off the new album. I would love for Slash and the band to  drop "Watch This, By The Sword, Been There Lately and Apocalyptic Love for that matter for  newer/different material.

I'm hoping to hear  "No More Heroes, We Will Roam" and Not For Me", in addition to the new songs they play now.

Now if they could throw in a little Don't Damn Me, Double Talking Jive and maybe VR's "You Got No Right" that would be alright by me Cheesy

Books are useless! I only ever read one book, ?To Kill A Mockingbird,? and it gave me absolutely no insight on how to kill mockingbirds.

I thought the new album was pretty good, and curious to hear it live.
I would however love to hear Beggars and Hangers On and By the Sword again, as those were some of the highlights for me last time around, along with My Michelle!

I just wish they'd come back to Ireland... Its been almost 2 years since I saw them do a standalone gig.
They did play here at a festival last year but I didn't want to pay festival price for a 30 min set.
