Went out to Vegas for my 34th bday to catch Steel Panther and thought it would be fun to dress up like Axl for Halloween and walk the Vegas stip each night I was in town (10/27-11/01).  I had a blast being Axl each night even though more people thought I was in costume as Bret Michaels who was in town that weekend than Axl but it was still cool.  Lots of people wanted to come up and take their picture with me and I even meet a fake Slash.  My gf surprised me with backstage meet n' greet passes at Steel Panther so I got my picture with the band while I was dressed as Axl.  Thought I'd share a few images from my trip and as for the tats I got them from a great place online rockertattoos.com they held up great and really made the outfit.  I put them on 10/28 and when I saw GnR in Atlanta on 11/2 they still looked great, so great in fact many people in line asked me if they were real (I lied and said yes lol sorry)  Anyways, hope you enjoy my pictures.

Good for you, I bet you couldn't have had a better birthday if you tried.  Lucky!!  That was a great Axl costume, and I would not have guessed Brett Michaels at all lol... duhhhhh!!  Thanks for sharing your awsome experience :0)!!

Great costume! Gotta love Las Vegas! Thanks for sharing your pics! I'm hoping to go to Comic Con next July and dress up as Dany from GAME OF THRONES. I found a great costume on Ebay!  You could wear that costume at Comic Con as well. I hope I can get a ticket. I hear it's pretty hard. I also want to dress up as Sookie Stackhouse and meet the cast of TRUEBLOOD! beer

Looks like you guy's had fun ! Did you stay on the strip or Downtown ?  one of the better Axl costume's i've seen.

It was reported that Adam Levine o' Maroon 5 dressed up as Axl N' his g/f dressed as Stephanie Seymore this Haloween.

@GNR4L I stayed at Planet Hollywood in the middle of the stip and loved it.  All the strip hotels though are nice I've stayed at MGM, Rio, Caesar's and now Planet and gotta say MGM has been my fav but the location of Planet right in the middle of the strip was ideal.  I proposed 10/30/11 on my actual bday at Paris and we are planning our wedding next October back in Vegas not sure which hotel yet Smiley

I love how unique and original Axls' dress sense was, so much so that you only have to wear the right 3 or 4 garments of clothing to get an "Axl" look.

A Banana, American flagged shorts, white jacket and maybe some sunglasses = Axl Rose......so simple.  hihi

Hahah, my "mistake" could very well actually be something a normal guy has to do, to get the Axl Rose look (but Axl don't need no banana, he has the gift that God gave him).

I of course actually meant to say Bandana, but I will leave it as it is because of the funny aspect of a normal guy also needing to wear a banana in his shorts to "get the Axl look".  hihi hihi
