From this interview at NAMM:

GUNS N' ROSES Guitarist BUMBLEFOOT Interviewed At NAMM (Video) - Jan. 20, 2012

Music Radar conducted an interview with GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal at the Vigiers Guitars booth the 2012 NAMM (National Association Of Music Merchants) show, a massive music-products convention that is taking place January 19-22 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. You can now watch the chat below. Also available is footage of Thal demoing the new ENGL Retro Tube 100 amp at the ENGL booth.

love the intimate setting o' a club jamm packed w/ true fans..But ugh the standing!!
Club shows tend to be a bit shorter roughly 90 minutes on average compared to the average 2 hour arena show (90 minutes for co-headliners). I wonder if GN'R will cut down from the 2 hour 45 minute marathon they treated us to on this last Chinese Democracy leg...

It would be so great if they did a Guns N' Roses unplugged on MTV.

When is the last time MTV did an original 'Unplugged'? I think these days, we would be more likely to get a VH1 Storytellers type show.

There were a few in 2011. Seemed like MTV was trying to revive it. Not sure if that will continue in 2012. The better question is, when was the last time MTV did an original "Unplugged" with a good band?

I'm hoping for the Aragon Ballroom, like they did in 87 opening for The Cult.  Smiley

Oh man. It would be so unbearably good if GNR played at the Ritz (is the place still around?). I still have to watch the '88 show from time to time. What a moment that was. Clearly the pinnacle for the original lineup.

It would almost be like coming full circle. Seeing these boys doing a down n dirty rock n roll show at the Ritz would such a treat.

If its been awhile You should rewatch it. Its maybe the greatest rock performance ever. It may not be the most technically flawless show but, it's the most high energy crazed dirty drunken glorious mess that is just so perfect and is just so fucking rock n roll. It knocks me the fuck out every time.

I would love this version of GNR to go there and just get fucking crazy!

If this happens then I would say that Beta's job review in the early stages as manager of the band gets an A+.

Agreed.  A small theater tour would be a great way for GNR to connect with the real fans, not arenas filled with casual rock fans who sit and blink while they play Madagascar.  Wink

Anyway, I think the real challenge Beta will face this year is the issue of getting the next album out and negotiating with the label.  The jury's still out on that one!
