This is a good idea for a thread Smiley. Here's some I think could sound good, obviously none will beat the originals, but I'd like to hear what different bands/artists could do with GNR songs (though I dunno if all of this lot even like GNR Tongue). I tried to have a mix of old and modern artists...:

Alice Cooper - It's So Easy
Metallica - Welcome To The Jungle
Stone Temple Pilots - 14 Years
Motorhead - Civil War (even though they already have a song with that name Tongue)
 Def Leppard - Paradise City
 Evanescence - November Rain
 Warpaint* - Sorry
 Ozzy Osbourne - Nightrain
 Slipknot - Garden Of Eden
The Rolling Stones - Dead Horse
 KT Tunstall - Patience
Marilyn Manson - My World Grin

*For those who don't know Warpaint, they're an all-female experimental/psychedelic/alternative band. Here are a few of their songs, and why I think they would sound good doing a song like Sorry Smiley.
