Ten Brilliant Album Liner Notes

We swear that R Kelly once thanked ?My beeper nigga Tony Blair? on one of his albums, but while we keep searching for it, here?s 10 other gems from the inner sleeves, mostly from the days when buying records meant having something to read on the bus home.

1. the Beatles ? Please Please Me
??Pop picking is a fast ?n? furious business these days whether you are on the recording studio side listening out, or on the disc-counter side listening in. as a record reviewer I find myself installed halfway in-between with an ear cocked in either direction.? ? Tony Barrow?

2. Guns N? Roses ? Chinese Democracy
?Brain would like to thank: Christ, Viagra, and the Right To choose.?

3. Michael Jackson ? HIStory
??To Michael Jackson, with appreciation for the outstanding example you have set for the youth of America and the world.? ? President Ronald Reagan, the Presidential Award, 1984.?

4. Prince ? New Power Soul
?Conceived and born at Paisley Park. Bathed and circumcised by Prince & Hans-Martin Buff. Graduation ceremony performed by Brian Gardner @ Bernie Grundman. much respect 2 the midwives and husbands ? Chaka Khan, Larry Graham, Kirk Johnson.?

5. the Style Council ? Caf? Bleu
?Effervescent Mick Talbot, a cat who blissfully can?t decipher between where and why, but certainly knows how to! he brilliantly applies this skill to his keyboard as much as he does to bus rides.?

6. Steely Dan ? Aja (1999 reissue)
?Anyone having information about the whereabouts of these missing two inch tapes [of the songs Aja and Black Cow] should contact HK Management at (415) 485-1444. there will be a $600.00 reward for anyone who successfully leads us to the tapes. This is not a joke. happy hunting.?

7. the Beach Boys ? Wild Honey
??We think this is a great album. we love to listen to it. we might just be biased because we work for the Beach Boys. Please see what you think.? ? Steve and Arny?

8. Terence Trent D?Arby ? Introducing the Hardline According To?
?Except for ?Seven More Days? and ?If You let me Stay,? which was done by Howard Grey, the Red-Headed Souser of Camden, the remaining 9 songs were not ?Produced? but rather ?Hardened? by Martyn ?Teddy Bear? Ware and Terence Trent D?Arby. it was sonically captured and psycho-acoustically assaulted by Phil ?Foghorn? Legg, the Laughing Man.?

9. the Rolling Stones ? Sticky Fingers
?A bit of advice from Jimmy M.: Maximum cycle characteristics and frequency response at high decibel level have been set according to standards suggested in the GUY STEVENS Producer Manual, chart R-357, in index, page 304. these recommended standards were compiled by the same authority having recently measured audible damage created by supersonic aircraft ? if for any reason you do not agree with the standards, turn it up.?

10. the Damned ? Damned, Damned, Damned
?Thanks to No one.?

Ozzy Osbourne had great liner notes in 2001 I believe, not sure o' the album..
Everytime he thanked a male he would follow it w/ "I love you and I'm not gay"...
