I'm guessing the interview are being done because of the release of One Man Mutiny. The focus will certainly be on that.

Like Spirit/LN said, he's out promoting his new album.  From the magazine:

Performer Magazine Gonna try to avoid Replacements questions, if possible (although that might be hard, given my Replacements obsession in college). His new record is really great, and comes out at the end of the month.

I'm fully expecting to hear about the release date of the next album, all future GNR tour dates including those not yet booked, and the tracklist of the new album including song lengths.
