Adler Recruits New Appetite Band Members

04.25.2011

Ex-Guns N? Roses drummer Steven Adler has named Patrick Stone and Lonny Paul as the new vocalist and guitarist, respectively, in Adler?s Appetite, following the departures of Rick Stitch and Alex Grossi.

Adler?s band plays a selection of original tracks but devotes much of their set to Guns N? Roses classics like ?Sweet Child O? Mine.? Their most recent single is ?Alive,? which is inspired by Adler?s recovery from drug addiction, as chronicled on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew Pinskey and Bob Forrest. Adler recently returned to the Celebrity Rehab series to tape new episodes, but he assured his fans that his recovery was going well and that he was visiting Dr. Drew for ?a tune up.?

In a press release, Adler said he had made a 180-degree turn in his life, calling his most recent appearance on Celebrity Rehab ?The best thing I ever did for myself. It genuinely feels like I?m living the ultimate American dream, not only that, but I?m loving it!?

The band?s new album is due by the end of the year.

Adler's Appetite Kick Off Tour Tonight

05/05/2011

The latest incarnation of Adler's Appetite, featuring former Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler, kick off their North American tour tonight in Redondo Beach with their new lineup featuring new frontman Patrick Alan Stone.

Stone was referred to the band by Slash, according to a statement. "This guy's got pipes," said bassist Chip Z'Nuff, citing that "his show is over the top - you're going to get a great show - like a mini Woodstock without the mud." Adler added, "He's doing a fabulous job, we're very pleased with him."

"It's an honor to be working with these guys," commented Stone, "a dream come true. Stone, who also acts, has appeared in HBO's Deadwood and John From Cincinatti. Ironically, this isn't Stone's first GnR connect - he was slated to be the new singer for West Arkeen's band at the time of his death.

Adler's Appetite also features bassist Chip Z' Nuff, and guitarists Michael Thomas and Lonnie Paul.
