I was just reading a chat with Duff over at ESPN.com. He was asked how he would grade the Black Eyed Peas halftime performance. The moderator came on and said Duff was passing on the question.  hihi

You should have seen the cover they wanted to do. It wasn't a glove, believe me.

Problem is, people are trying to use this as a way to discredit Slash.

It doesn't matter what Slash does, his legacy is secure. nothing will change the all time Legen...wait for it..... Dary contributions he made to GNR.

Look the Super Bowl halftime show was a fucking disgrace, lets face it, but I dont think Slash's part was as bad as everyone wants to make it out to be.  There is a lot of negativity in the media towards the Black Eyed Peas for whatever reason, so people were waiting to criticize the performance regardless of how it sounded.  Also it is not like Slash just jumped on stage with Britney Spears or Lady Gaga just for attention, he and Fergie are actually tight and have a relationship, the guest spot made sense.   Also its the fucking Super Bowl, the most bloated over the top nonsense in pro sports, so what did you expect?

Agreed, the performance overall was horrible but Slash really isn't to blame aside from deciding to be a part of it.  BUT, he's friends with Fergie and the rest of the Peas, he's performed with them before, it was a HUGE event on a HUGE stage.  So you can't really blame him or be surprised by his involvement.  And like I said before, The Black Eyed Peas can perform better and have.  That was just a horrible performance, mix, sound, etc.  It's tough to pull off a flawless, or even good LIVE performance at the Super Bowl.  That's why most artists/bands play to track or pre-record many parts.  At least you could tell they were going live.  Then again, maybe they shouldn't have.  That goes for Christina Aguilera too.

So who is selling this, Slash?  If so, I hope he is either giving procedes to a charity or just giving it away.  I don't think I would rock that hat anywhere, but I would sell it and give the money to someone who needs it.

Yes, Slash is selling these.  It says a "sizable share of the proceeds" will go to charity.

That wasn't so bad. Slash sounded good. Fergie was a bit pitchy though, but in the words of Andrew Dice Clay: I'd fuck her, OOOOOhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!  Grin
