I'm thinking we should have football in two weeks or less.

Well looks like you were close. It looks like a deal could be imminent in the next 24-48 hours. Here's hoping.

Thank GOD! We're getting close.
Someone on this board could get rich betting the exact opposite of my predictions!
Oh shit, did I say we're getting close to a deal? I meant FAR AWAY! We probably won't even get the NFL this year!!!

Chris Mortensen is guessing another 3-4 days there are still a few issues to be resolved including player working conditions. Which is likely the biggest issue left but nothing he believes that could derail the deal.

Yeah, if everything goes to plan, and it looks like it will, free agency will start up in 6 days.

It will be less than that I think..it doesnt really make sense to wait that long due to the nature of the situation. I'm sayin Wed. camps and FA will start to get going...its only a couple weeks till pre-season.

Sweeeet! I can't fucking wait! All the free agent moves...getting my fantasy draft set...opening night! Color me thrilled.
I am curious as hell to figure out where McNabb's going.
Here's my prediction. Since he's too expensive at his current salary, the 'skins won't find a trade partner. He'll get cut the day after game 1.
He'll sign immediately with the Vikes.
Joe Webb is the opening day qb, with Ponder backing him up.
As soon as Donovan gets the system down, he'll be starting. Probably by Week 3.
Unfortunately, we're probably losing Sidney Rice.
Seems like Kolb's goin' to AZ. What will the Iggles get in return? Rodgers-Cromartie and a draft pick?
Reggie Bush? DeAngelo Williams?? Sproles, Asomugha??? The list goes on and on.
btw, here's one of my all-time favorite Onion News articles...it stars ESPN's John Clayton (who btw I think is excellent!)

It really can't be less than that. The players have to first recertify as a union and that isn't expected to be completed until friday.

John Clayton said earlier today that we can expect the players to sign off on the deal tomorrow (Monday) and then teams will start negotiating with their own free agents Wednesday or Thursday, then signings to start this coming Saturday of all available free agents.
