after a listen or 2 i don't love it.. its ok.. reminds me of a good 70s rock song.. i don't think it was a very good choice for a lead single.. classic rock fans will like it.. but don't think it will have much cross over appeal.   I did hear it on the radio though.. and actually liked it a bit more after that.. i think it was the surprise of hearing on the radio

so was this song sent to radio? is it getting any airplay?

Some people claim they heard it on the radio.  But i live in Ireland and dont listen to radio so i cant confirm.

hopefully, and more importantly, they play it at my local strip club hihi

so far not in the local strip club Shocked Sad

Eddie Trunk played "By The Sword" on his Sirius/XM show again tonight for the second straight week.  He had Mike Piazza on the show and he talked about playing the song earlier before Mike got in the studio.  He told him the song sounded great, especially the way it was recorded and he was texting back and forth with Slash telling him how much he liked the song and was looking forward to hearing the rest.  Mike hadn't heard the song yet, but seemed intrigued.

Its a really good song, and I haven't gotten sick of it yet.  That solo is just awesome, it just builds to a great climax.  I also love the acoustic in the front of the song, and how he plays it during the versus.  Andrew did great as well..
