Is because this is a complete band album and he prefers the spotlight to remain on the band rather than himself ?

Maybe? Huh

I think he will closer to the release and afterwards.  Axl is tha man ! doesn't need to be a media whore. His music speaks for itself.

I think he's working his ass off maybe on the promotion of this cd or maybe getting the followup ready to go.  Remember they were going to tour their asses off once this got going and put out a cd every year.  Lots more songs to get mastered.

Or maybe he's sitting back and surfing the net.

I think it's jut not his style to be out there tap-dancing for the general public and media whores being like... "Hey everybody! Remember me? Buy Chinese Democracy on November 23rd!" He's just not cheesy in that way. Leave that to Bon Jovi. I bet he wants this album to hit an unsuspecting public like a Mike Tyson uppercut to the chin. peace

He signed the parking ticket ad that the lucky folks in Canada have!

I think everything will happen in due time.

I think we'll see more of him AFTER the album comes out, not before.

Just my opinion.

I agree.

I don't think Axl has ever said that. "Shortly thereafter" is the closest he got, as far as I can remember.

Axl has his own way of doing things, and over the years I've learned not to question it and just let him work at his own timeframe.

As if you could influence him otherwise  rofl The first 8 words are correct though.

he's totally waiting for a big RS interview to co-incide with the release . Which will re-ignite every bodys GNR interest, and push album sales through several roofs.

I hope you're right. A TV interview would be even better, but I won't hold my breath.

When was the last time Axl was seen anyways? Was it at the last show of the '07 tour? I wonder what he looks like these days, guess we'll soon find out!

Axl has a finger on the pulse of excitement based solely on our reaction to the release date. He will take the next step based on that reading. Excitement will certainly not die down between now and Nov 23 so my guess is that we will 'see' him next after release. It would be smart to kick start interest leading up to Christmas sales.
