A couple years ago my friends and I turned this speech into a drinking game.....everytime Bush says United States of America.....or some variation of it, you drank.

You should play that game with Rudy when he says "9-11".

You'd be drunk after 5 minutes!  hihi

This speech is SUPER boring.  Pelosi is reading her little book, some old guy fell asleep.  Man, what a snoozer.

This woman is a real snoozer.  My god.

Where is Jim Webb?  hihi

When she endorses Obama I don't think anybody will notice - they'll all be asleep!  Thankfully we'll have Booker to post the article though  hihi

I watched the whole thing. We see this type of thing every year. Whether it was Bush tonight or Bill Clinton 10 years ago, we hear big ideas and positive initiatives proposed, but at the end of the day nothing new happens.

New things happen alright.  The Iraq War, faith-based science initiatives, the outlawing of abortion, allowing nations like South Korea to become nuclear powers, making sex-ed. abstinence-only education, giving fucking huuuuuge tax breaks to the wealthiest of the wealthy, allowing corporations to outsource American jobs everyday, running up the biggest deficit in the history of our nation...

please tell me when you've heard any of that shit 10 years ago under Bill Clinton.

Big Ideas? It nothing more than rehash of his failed policies for the last 8 years; hoping to accomplish in his last year what he couldn't. The only thing new was the economic stimulus plan, and that was as dry as last weeks fish.

Hell, half of it sounded like a speech from The Generalisimo: "We must never forget 9/11 in order that the 9/11 terrorists don't 9/11 us again like what happened on 9/11". Roll Eyes

Its a big horse & pony show. Blowing smoke up the ass of the american people is what that speech is every year.
