i got chills.

ledger is brilliant as the joker, i'm very impressed. michael caine said that on set he was so surprised by ledger's performance that he forgot his lines!!

I loved Jack as the Joker, but his take on it was that he was simply Jack Nicholson dressed up as the joker . It was the same character that he played in the shining well as One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and the same character that he continued to play in The Departed.

this new joker looks/sounds awesome and is a refreshing change.

I gotta disagree with you on Nicholson. I actualy think he shoulda won an oscar for his Joker. That being said I don't think Ledger sounds similar, but still pretty awesome. I liked Batman Begins, but not as much as a lot of other people seemed to. This I'm looking much more forward to. I think Ledger is gonna be bad ass.

upsides:

this movie looks like it kicks ass!

downsides:
batmobile-wtf?? why does it look like a tank?? ugly...was much better the sleek version in the other batman movies..

jokers makeup..again wtf?? ugly looks like its smeared on?

the bat mobile looked like a tank in batman begins, so no worries.

looks great - hope it buries the original batman movie as that one is horrible.

wasn't sold on ledger when i first heard he had been cast as the joker, but he looks/sounds great in this trailer.

I was really worried when I heard that Heath Ledger was playing the Joker...but when I saw the trailer this morning, all my worries went away, seems like he really did an awesome job!
