Gilby's albums start out good, and trail off, IMO

Fair enough. But like I said above... imagine melding together "the beginnings" of those two albums... letting Axl and Slash work on them some more (to really make the tracks "GN'R") and then adding "The Blues'' and "Catcher In The Rye" (2 new GN'R tunes I could easily see the old band coming up with)...

That would have been a GREAT late 90's GN'R album IMHO... drool
