meh........well it is a very remarkable advancement..........but my question is, how is an engine going to function with all that salt gumming her up? I guess gumming up is not the proper statement.... how about being imbeded intot he engine causing insanely high friction and destroying its self.......... best bet from me is that refining the technology to create a more efficient hydrogen extraction process for use with fuel cell vehicles.... that way big oil can cornor the market too Tongue

Well I'm more concerned about producing energy than how it will function in an auto.

I'd also think it may operate slightly different than our current combustion automobile. Just a hunch...

ya dont say.............. ok then what do you do with the other elements that are removed from the water b4 use in in new "super engine designed by the punker" or if for arguements sake we use the seperated H and O in Fuel Cell vehicles same problem applies you still have a tonne of other crap to get rid of. Being real with this, the same process should be able to be used on distilled water, just a diffrent frq then applied to the salt water, that is what you should be looking at. Then the next question is mass De Sal projects, what do you do with all the crap you take out of the ocean? dump it back in? ahhhh sure np but for the mass amounts of minerals being removed then returned to the oceans will change the balence of the salt content which has been increasing for decades due to human progress and expansion, which in turn damages fish stocks and the ocean ecosystem as a whole.... no to mention it can cause changes in ocean temperatures light penetration etc etc.....

While I do see the massive engery potential that this break through does provide for, Not even a relgious person can see this as being the engery saviour we have looked for for so long. ANyone with have a clue can look at this and see the great benifits that i could provide.... but only thouse with a clue will also weigh the downsides with the good to get a proper picture of what this can mean, and ask the proper question to become informed. But hey this is still a watch and shoot topic......BZ
