VELVET REVOLVER frontman Scott Weiland will be the featured guest on "The Hour" on June 13. The program, which airs at 11:00 p.m. on CBC in Canada, is hosted by George Stroumboulopoulos. The interview will be available for viewing at this location once it has aired.

Edit: Does anyone know what type of show this is?  I guess when this guy interviewed Sebastian Bach several years ago it did not go so well...

ChartAttack: Seeing such an amicable side of you on the DVD is in direct contrast to your last encounter with MuchMusic, you know, where you stormed out on VJ George Stroumboulopoulos?

Sebastian Bach: People wonder what the deal was with that and I don?t blame them. But think of it like this: When I was a 15 year-old kid playing around town in my band, I went to MuchMusic, walked off the street and went up to them, told them my story and they did a whole feature on us that night. I still have the tape and that started me on a career. I go and sell 20 million records, do a Broadway show and some MuchMusic guy comes down to interview me about Poison? How can I just be some turd that gets attention when I?m a kid, but when I sell 20 million albums and am on Broadway it?s like, "So, tell me about C.C. Deville?" I?m like, "Fuck you!"  hihi

The Hour is a really good show and George Stroumboulopoulos is a good interviewer, in fact excellent.  Sure he effed up the interview w/ Bach, but than again Bach effed it up more by being Bach (think Vh1's Supergroup).  Bach was amazed offended that he got lumped in with the hair band era when he himself wore/wears eyeliner, lipstick/gloss and has prettier hair than most girls....

Maybe its just Canadain pride but reading the message board stuff it's too bad that when you see or hear of Bubbles the Trailer Park Boys touring with Axl all across Canada and Axl singing with him every night that people seem to not check out the show, its the funniest show out there.  So i guess I hope people will check out The Hour too, you can watch it in its entirety online every day.

Here's a copy and paste from The Hour's website:

What is The Hour?

The Hour is a national current affairs show on CBC television hosted by George Stroumboulopoulos. It?s not a newscast. It?s not a magazine show. The Hour a different take on the news through the lens of George and company. While news shows cover the issues of the day, The Hour dissects the issues within the issues. Always unconventional. Often controversial. Never predictable.

The Hour has interviewed some of the most interesting and influential figures on the planet: from big thinkers like Al Gore, Noam Chomsky, Jesse Jackson, Lewis Lapham, David Suzuki and Deepak Chopra, to establishment shakers like Bob Geldof, Henry Rollins and Bono, to world-renowned musicians like Coldplay, the Foo Fighters, Ludacris, and The Killers.

Throw in a bunch of A-list actors like Ed Norton, Rachel Weisz, Matt Damon, Viggo Mortensen, Catherine O`Hara, Alan Rickman; add a Prime Minister - Stephen Harper, Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus, Scottish comedian Billy Connolly, and you start to get a sense of the program. A different take on the news? You decide.

Where can I watch The Hour?

From my experience, George is an asshole. I've met him a few times and each and every time he was a fucking dick.

George is a really great interviewer.  I saw Perry Farrell on there the other night.  They interview anyone from rock stars to politicians.

maybe he is, but the show is good and he's good interviewer. he's interviewed scott before, so George is at least good enough for Scott.
