How rare is a promo Appetite LP with the banned cover? I was going through a college radio stations record collection, and they have an old and used one, been spun many a time, but it was rather cool that they had one.  How hard to come by are they, and how much do they usually go for?

I have not seen a promo copy before. Is the complate album or a sampler?

it's the entire album, with the gold embossed 'for promotion only' on the front.

In that case, I think that it is quite rare. I wouldn't have thought they would have pressed more than a couple of thousand.

There is a site that gives you a rough indication of price for all GN'R items, hopfully someone reading this thread will add the URL.

EDIT:  I would suspect this is rarer than LLAS but not as valuable.

definately not as valuable, the album has been beat up quite severely over the years, not to mention its got the radio stations call letters written all over it in case someone tries to steal it. Anyone have that link to the GnR collectibles site?
