Because this forum doesn't have an "Early Days" section. I'm not complaining... just answering your question. I'm actually surprised the thread is still here. Most of my threads get deleted or merged.
Usually the "Downtown" library of every major city has microfilm archives of the major newspapers of that city, and you can look through them yourself. Then when you see what you want, you slip a dime or quarter into the coin slot and it prints out.
