Michael Monroe played the Harmonica and Saxaphone on the studio version of 'Bad Obsession' from Use Your Illusion 1. Does anyone know if hes ever claimed to have recieved, or if he does actually recieve, any royalties from the sales of this record?

i doubt it, he just did it cuz he's friends with axl, most geust appernaces dont make money from the album sales.
usually only if it is released as a single, and thats rare.

No. You see, I read on Monroes website, a while back, that Andy McCoy was the reason the band didnt include the cover of Hanoi Rocks on the Spaghetti Incident...they didnt feel he deserved the royalties. And they released all of Hanoi Rocks back catalogue, GNR that is now, on Uzi Suicide in early 90s so I reckon that Monroe prob got the Bad Obsession deal cause he wasnt going to make money from TSI...which him and McCoy would have benifited from.

The thing about TSI (I assume) would be that guns would have had to pay loyalties to Hanoi because they wrote the song that GNR would have been preforming, recording and selling on their album. Guest app. usually don't receive as far as I know.

wouldnt GNR then have to pay all the bands that they covered songs from on TSI?

...i don't know if they do? thats why im asking.

Guns N' Roses prob made very little money from TSI, since every song was a cover version and they prob only got paid for performance rights. Unless, the label paid the royalties for the band, and the band earned the sales credits.
