Guns n' roses (the name) is too devaluated here in South America. why?, the answer is evident

Axl lost his credibility long time ago. by that I am so pessimist about that exeggerated number

Anyway, if Axl will come here, I'll be in the show to enjoy his music as usual...

Dream what?, I said some lie?

let's see.

Is Guns n' roses's name devaluated in South america?, or here in Chile? - Did Axl rose lose his credibility?

tell me, where is the lie or something oneiric ?

Man, I am Axl's fan too, but that don't disable me to speak with the truth.

Personally I prefer GNR perform in Bogot? in a smaller place, just like "Palacio de los Deportes". I prefer that tickets being expensive but have the possibility of seeing them very close.

Yes, in Bogot? we deserve something like Rits 88 or having our own Hammerstein Ballroom.

Well, I'm from Brazil. Despite the 4 mentioned Brazilian stadiums capacity, the reality of a great concert in Brazil is far from a 100.000 people for a pay concert. We can work with 40.000 or 50.000 in Rio and S?o Paulo.
I'm sure the Porto Alegre and Manaus gig would be sold out, or close to it. It's a huge country, don't think as if it's only Rio and SP.

No more than that, picking by the last big concerts Brazil has held. Like Roger Waters: about 40.000, and Aerosmith with the same number.
Same? What are you talkin' about? Aerosmith had 65.000. And the promotion was quite poor for a gig like that. Keep in mind that GNR is far more popular than Waters or Aerosmith here, as far as I know.

Of course GNR is big in Brazil, but only if they added a free concert, like, at Copacabana Beach, then we would easily have a 400.000 crowd. And even for that 40.000 crowd, the album must got out 1st, Brazilian media is ruled by fucking radio singles. Undecided
I didn't get it if you're talkin about 400 or 40k.

Anyways, I don't think a Copacabana gig would be a good idea. GN'R is not that pop, they would be too hard for the casual fans who only knows NR and SCOM. Also, it would be really bad for the fans - I prefer to pay in a Rio gig than to have to take the risk to go to this free concert there.

Well, by the news I read, on globo.com, terra and whiplash, they were saying that Aerosmith gig didn't sell out., I heard numbers going from 40k to 50k... I think that Pink Floyd is far popular than GNR in Brazil, and by accepting that Roger is Pink Floyd... Roll Eyes

On that point you're totally right, going to a Copacabana free concert is very risky! hihi I think people go to a free concert just to get out, they don't care about who's playing, Rolling Stones is an example...

About the numbers: 400.000= four hundred thousand, 40.000=forty thousand

From globo.com:

"Com 65 mil ingressos colocados ? venda, mais de 60 mil entradas haviam sido vendidas."

I don't think so. Pink Floyd is an older band. You don't hear them much on the radio. Also, it's not as popular with the non-fans. There's still a lot of people who reminds of GNR on TV, radio and everywhere.

About the numbers: 400.000= four hundred thousand, 40.000=forty thousand
Hum.. I guess I know the numbers. Roll Eyes

Nevermind.

Yeah, I think it's difficult to get to a conclusion, we would have to know the album sales of Pink Floyd and GNR, and that's impossible in Brazil...

That number stuff was a joke! Smiley
