I Won't Be Told Anymore

« on: January 25, 2007, 06:23:21 AM »

Just sharing a thought.  I really hope that however CD is recieved.... personally i think it will be a huge album ...it's got alot to live up too. But Axl is sounding and looking amazing. Badass as we like him. And personally i think 'Better' may well be their first UK number 1, it is that good. If there's any justice it will be.  The music world is hungry for a great Guns album imo.

But i really hope that he starts working at a faster pace. He has soooo much talent as a writer and performer. It's a little frustrating when you think of the time that has gone and maybe he has rightly needed that time.  Hey he earnt his rest.  But I hope the reception and love from the Fans over the past year has inspired him to try and get more of his work out there.    He seemed to genuinly enjoy himself last year, which as a fan is great to see. But now we want more! lol

Do the rest of you think it's all about CD's success? Or do you think Axl will finish this huge project he has created ...the mentioned 3 albums, despite what happens with sales ect? It's alot of pressure to put on one album and we know what the critics are like when it comes to GN'R that's my only concern.

 peace

I don't think he took 10+ years to make CD. I think he just took 10+ years to build what we have today. A band that's alive, that clicks together.

They've been working on tons of material over the last decade but I bet they took the songs in 10,000 different directions and worked them until they were 100% happy with them.

The whole process took years but now we have a fonctional band, that works very good onstage. So I think we will never wait 10+ years again ok

i really hope the album does well but i still have to say that the world is a different place. They listen to paris hilton and lindsey lohan now. A great rock album will do well but it's a different time to when gun were huge.

i hope i'm wrong, i hope it's a great success. i think it will be in the rock charts and maybe one or two songs will make it to number one, but mainstream guys are full of rap and RNB!so i don't know...

i hope i'm wrong and the gunners take the world!

Seriously, i would be willing to bet that Better(nor any other GNR single) will go to number one in the UK charts. I guess theres more of a chance now that downloads are counted but I just cant see GNR generating enough interest from Joe Public i.e. the people who get a single to No.1.

the people who get a single to No. 1 are young teenage girls, frankly the singles chart is irrelevant

chi dem at number 1 in the album chart is what we want!  yes

Im in total agreement with that man. Id be genuinely shocked if it doesnt hit No.1 in the album charts.
