I was just wondering if I'm the only one here who feels that Craig Ferguson is a comedic genius.

For those of you who aren't familiar with his name, or are unable to receive his program in your part of the world... he's the host of a late night television show here in the U.S.

His opening monologues are usually delightful... and there's just something special about the guy.

It's rather difficult to explain his style, but I would say he's in the same vein as fellow comedian Billy Conolly... just naturally funny.? Also, it's hard to beat a good Scottish accent.

So, if any of you get the chance... be sure to check him out!? ?ok

Wow, I'm rather surprised to hear that he's not a big celebrity in Scotland.  Huh

However, he's mentioned a few times on his show that the people in Scotland don't really like him very much... but I always figured he was only kidding.

Strange days indeed...

I can't say I've watched his show in any great length but I've heard nothing but BAD things about him.  To quote, "that show is unwatchable."  But, to each his own.

I'm not familiar with any of his movies (only his television show) but he does seem to enjoy poking fun at them and his acting abilities as well.

Well, it's all subjective... but try watching his show for a few nights and then let me know what YOU think about him.? Smiley

He's not funny.

The last time I watched was over the summer to see David Lee Roth perform

I think he's funny. But he definitely grates on you after a while.

Small doses...

Craig Ferguson played Mr. Wick on the Drew Carey Show if any of you guys remember that.  As for his late show...it's horrible.  The writing is god awful (could be compared to Carson Daileys) and he goes on and on when things aren't funny.  He does get good musical guests from time to time, but occasionally his ramblings will cause his show to go on for too long and they'll cut the guest.

I beg to differ.....Conan O'Brien shares that time slot and he's the king of funny when it comes to late night.
