I got the impression that, midway through the season, the three Supernova guys all started to show their true colors and directions, and worse, that they didn't really share the same vision for the band.
Jason was taking things extrememly seriously, focusing on raw talent, musicianship, and contestant's willingness to better themselves and fit with the overall tone of the band. Hell, once I heard their songs, I couldn't take them that seriously if I tried...
Tommy wanted to have a good time, find a "rockin'" singer, write "killer" tunes, enjoy the spotlight, and take the show on the road.
Gilby...you know, I can't say I really got a feel for what Gilby wanted, other than to get back on stage and play sub-par rock songs with cliche lyrics.
Regardless, it seemed to me that they guys were far from on the same page as to where they wanted things to end up. That couldn't have helped anybody as things progressed...
