Today I saw an article about Igor at Metro daily newspapper.

Almost 1 million people watched at YouTube a 4-year old Igor playing drums.
Prodigy boy and his family have already been visited by TV crews from USA and Norway.
-When he was 2 year old, he used to sing to the virtual mike, what caused the biggest joy to him – recalls Igor’s mother, Sylwia Falecka – He was singing everything he had heard. After a year he began to top various rhythms and built up his own drums from part of his toys, pillows and chairs.
In the Falecki family, originally from Gdańsk, it is impossible not to be musically talented.
Igor’s mum is a graduate of Academy of Music and sings in Capella Gedanensis, his dad Arek is a bassist in a group The Glennskii’s, his 11-year old sister – Julka learns at musical school and plays violin.
-When he was 3 year old, he obtained old drum sticks from my husband’s group matte. He began to play on assembled by himself drum sets, just observing musicians in TV and imitating them – says Sylwia Falecka.
One year ago under the christmas tree Igor finally found his dream first professional drum set. Immediately, all the family started to play it.
-At that time he didn’t want to make nothing else, just play – says the mum. Unfortunately, noise prevented our neighbours, so we moved the drum set to the hall of attempts, where musicians from my husband’s group have rehearsals. Dad with his son rehearse together few times a week. I just prepare them sandwiches and they disappear for a couple of hours.
First concert Igor has played at the Town Hall of Gdańsk as a part of the Mother’s Day performance of Cappella Gedanensis.
-It it a great fun for Igor, when he plays for people – says Igor’s father – Sometimes during our concerts we let him play with us for a while. That is how every member of our family perform for audience.
Parents of the small drummer were advised by a fellow musician, Glenn Meyer, to place Igor’s videos on YouTube, then the frenzy has followed. Journalists from all over the world began to appear at our house – continues Igor’s mum – Our son doesn’t understand what really is happening around him, but he is having fun. We try to protect him from fame. We have normal attitude at our house, we all play, sing and rehearse together. It's just our daily life.
