So Fine is a good tune, but it's one of those songs that lack the Guns N' Roses feel, and that hurts it. Alot better live than on record, but still a little simplistic melody and structure wise. Borderlines pop at times.

When it comes to Duffs singing, I don't have any problem with it. It's rock n' roll, not Mariah Carey.

Like it alot... peace? Its a cool song..i love the friendship that Axl and Duff show during the Tokyo DVD.. its nice..
How times change.. peace

Well..What made you sure that they were friends ?? Just because they stood arm 2 arm and sang the song ?

But i know what you mean..maybe that?s a little cool..But the song itself rocks !

Actually Axl himself said they were friends. When Duff quit in 1998 (or whenever, there's conflicting stories), Axl implied that it blindsided him, and he thought they were friends. When all of these grievences from Duff came out, it shocked him.

It was in that 2002 interview on the now defunct GNROnline.com website.

Yes..but...They hardly saw eachother on the road back then...Maybe they were friends to the point that they respected eachother..But the thing in the Tokyo-vid is just a way for the fans to scream..The illusion-tour wasn?t Axl best..When it came to please the fans  Wink..I don?t think Duff liked that as the others didn?t

As the dust settled, Axl stared unblinkingly at me and, with no hint of irony, summed up GN?R?s philosophy: ?We don?t start anything. But if you mess with us, then we?ll fuck you up!

When Axl started distancing himself away from the band in the early-90's, I definitely won't disagree that had a large effect in how they felt with each other as band mates. It seemed after 1990, that Axl no longer did interviews or anything public related to Guns N' Roses.

Anytime there were interviews or documentaries, it was primarily in the UYI-era, always represented by Slash, Duff, Gilby & Matt. Other than the 1992 VMA's, I can't remember them being on-screen with each other on anything other than the videos themselves and the live shows.

'cause she's smart.....that's why.....both live and studio versions are excellent, since I first heard UYI always my top favourites.......Don't cry was my disappointment since I was used to the original demo version which is the best by the way of all 3.....

Snakepiter

were can u get the download 4 that the demo version???

 Huh

http://www.heretodaygonetohell.com/board/index.php?topic=38554.0

I know what he means. I mean the demo is awesome, and is much more cut down and almost Nirvana-sounding.

But I still don't think the epic & overproduced one that made the album isn't a disappointment by any means. Both the original & alternate both kicked ass!

"Nirvana-sounding"? that sux man? no, I'm downloading the demo versions right now, thanks for the links in the other thread

GNR has never almost sounded like nirvana, not a bit .....not a hint, the comparison was out of place.

It's a great song musically, but the Duff's lyrics and vocals kill the song for me

I love the song until Duff starts "singing" or whatever it is he's doing on that track.

Whats wrong with Duff's singing? Its pretty good. Nothing amazing but its good to hear someone else take a shot at the vocals.

The Don't Cry demo i've got sounds very Nirvana.

I stand by my comparison.

One of my favorite guns songs.  It's so heartfelt.  I like how Axl does background. I don't think Duff sucks as a singer, he's just rough around the edges which is what is good about it.

its actually one of my fav GnR songs. Love Duff's parts, you dont need to have a perfect voice to be a good singer...Duffs voice sounds great & you can feel the emotion flowing through him? Roll Eyes
