LORD OF THE BARNYARD

Thanks to Del James, I just took a HUGE trip back in time. Man I can't believe Frank was in the band The Beautiful!

I used to see The Beautiful a few times at some clubs back in the late 80s here in NYC. I remember finding out about them. I was going out with a girl who lived in the West Village. The lead singer, Jonathan lived on the first floor. He'd always have some smokes and some beer on hand, so we'd hang down there. Push comes to shove, and he'd have some flyers for the Beautiful playing at Sanctuary or Limelight or Cat Club. They were really incredible. Very progressive at the time. Kind of like, that they would have fit in very well with the Jane's Addiction/grunge scene, but no one here at the time was really into it. Come to think of it, everyone, one way or the other was biting off of Guns N' Roses! Try to find their stuff on a used cd site. I will!

I'm just sitting here dumbfounded that he was in that band.  Tongue

So, here's a huge freakin' old school NYC shout out to Frank. Go get yours. Keep it up, man.  beer beer

I've heard nothing by them. What do you recommend as a starting point? Are there any recordings that are easily available?

There's one EP and one cd, as I remember. You can probably find them on ebay/half.com Probably not hard to find.

Frank was/is one kick ass drummer.
