Question About Deleted Posts

Just now I was in a discussion with a guy who was complaining about how the setlist hasn't changed, and the tour shouldn't be called Chinese Democracy and blah blah fn blah.

I was ofcourse setting him straight on the subject when all of a sudden a bunch of the posts got deleted.

Here's my question:

When it comes to deleted posts, do they still count towards your post count?

You can have someone with 4 posts that are all interesting and another with 7,000 all full of crap

If a whole thread is removed though, those posts should still count... But I'm not sure on that one.

Just wondering. I know it's annoying for some people, but some rebuttles to dumb arguments like the one I was in require alot of typing. The post count is almost a small reward to me, ya know?

I know some of the posts are thought out and have interesting points in them, but we just don't need to have the same "discussion" in every show thread becaus there's five people who think they need to bring it up over and over again.

I completely understand that. Most of the time I'm really good at letting that stuff slide and not responding. It's just that other 10% of the time that I can't help myself!

So, do all posts that quote a deleted post get deleted as well?  Or is anything that appears at a quick glance to be remotely negative get put on the chopping block (even if it isn't)?
