LMAO, I would die laughing to see Axl in the short red shorts with the no shirt/vest thing going on nowadays.

People were laughing back then! lol

I think he wore the shorts so he wouln't pull a muscle or ham-string or somethin to that effect.

the kilt and bullet proof vest is axl's best look ever! smoking

It wasn't kevlar or anything...it was a catcher's vest/chest protector, but I do agree...that was a good look.

The shorts were great, the kilt was even better, but I must admit, he wouldn't look nice in either of them today..

Unfortunately, those shorts have stuck in peoples consciousness of GN'R to this day. I asked a friend once what his first thoughts were when he heard the name "guns n roses" today:

"A crazy frontman on speed running around in tights infront of 50.000 people. An enormous and unecessary drumset. Kinda lika a circus with cartoons."

It's funny, but the same time a little sad. Would've loved for peoples memory of Guns to be the hard and gritty rock band blasting out the hardest rocking songs in a shitty club.
