to mark their 20 year they made a list of 20 albums that you should own, I don't think it's in any kind of order.

1. Oasis - Definitely Maybe
2. Radiohead - OK Computer
3. Nirvana - Nevermind
4. U2 - The Joshua Tree
5. Jeff Buckley - Grace
6. U2 - Achtung Baby
7. RadioHead - The Bends
8. Oasis - Whats The Story Morning Glory
9. The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses
10. R.E.M - Automatic For The People
11. Public Enemy - It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back
12. GUNS N ROSES - APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION
" The greatest hard rock album of the last 20 years it also the biggest with more than 20 million sold. Yes, they were loud and rude. The revelation was that GNR were songwriters touched by genius, too. "
13. Coldplay - A Rush Of Blood To The Head
14. The Verve - Urban Hymns
15. Bob Dylan - Time Out Of Mind
16. Chilli Peppers - By The Way
17. Prince - Sign O The Times
18. Massive Attack - Blue Lines
19. Madonna - Ray Of Light
20. Gorrilaz - Demon Days

They also made the 20 best singles list.

1. Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit
2. Outkast - Hey Ya
3. GUNS N ROSES - SWEET CHILD O MINE
" Axl roses hard edged love note to then girlfriend erin everly carried by an arpeggio riff deemed "silly" by Slash. The songs mass appeal pushed GNR into a league of one, leaving the likes of Poison chocking on their Jack Daniels fumes "
4. Massive Attack - Unfinsihed Sympathy
5. U2 - One
6.Oasis - Wonderwall
7. The Verve - Bitter Sweet Symphony
8. Pulp - Common People
9. The LA's - There She Go's
10. White Stripes - 7 Nation Army
11. Blur - Song 2
12. Gnarls Barkley - Crazy
13. Robbie Williams - Angels
14. Britney Spears - Baby One More Time
15. Deepeche Mode - Personal Jesus
16. Madonna - Like A Prayer
17. Prodigy - Firestarter
18. Cornershop - Brimful Of Asha
19. Eminem - Stan
20. Arctic Monkeys - Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor

Just passing on some info.

I thought that was a great list.

Q is one magazine I've relied on for about 10 years. Great album reviews and they never stoop to abusing bands in a  childish fashion (stand up Kerrang and Rolling Stone).

Read some great interviews with Bowie, U2, The Stones and Oasis in there over the years.  smoking

Who the hell came up with that list...

GNR definitely deserves to be on that list, but come on, Britney Spears. Britney Spears sucks ass!

What's funny is that its the 20 years edition but you find almost only stuffs from the last 5-7 years in the single list.

Anyway, it's cool for GN'R to get a mention.

Out of that list, I definately think that these are some hefty albums to be lumped in with.

Good stuff.
