I say, at least for the Midwest Dates, they should get The Hold Steady.  Their new album which just came out is incredible!!!  They play that boozy, autobiographical, hard rock that would mesh well with GNR!

I don't mind Kid Rock, but I don't wanna deal with him during Nightrain. We're already gonna get Bach during My Michelle, and while that was cool to see once, I don't even want to see that ever again.

Kid Rock would be o.k., but I don't think it'll be him.

i love AFI's music.? you guys just pretty much base it on what the band looks like and their latest single, pretty ignorant.? AFI has some decent punk albums earlier in their career, and their 2003 album, Sing the Sorrow, is pretty awesome, not too sure about their newest album though.

The new AFI album is another step forward for them. The people on here who hate them have no idea they have been around over 15 years and have released some great punk albums. AFI fans unlike Papa Roach fans are FANATICAL meaning that they would easily pay $75 to see them play a one hour opening set. Of all the bands mentioned, AFI would bring in the most fans. Thank God Papa Roach is only on for 2 weeks, god do they blow!

It would be pretty cool if the Rolling Stones opened for them

Not going to happen

But would still be pretty cool

Exactly, not going to happen.

Let's hope anything other than Bullet For My Valentine. I had the unfortunate opportunity to hear them open the NY show on 5/15. I know there's some people on this board that had to put up with them the entire European tour, and to those I say "Your true GnR' fans."  hihi
