Only went to Glasgow and Donnington, but I'm gonna plump for Glasgow!

Even although Donnington had Rocket Queen......

Ah fuck it, they were all awesome!  ok

Hammersmith was just amazing - the atmosphere was unbelievable and the anticipation!!!!!!!!  Then when you heard the famous WTTJ intro....... holy shit - just thinking about it sends shivers up my spine.

Download was obv amazing for many reasons.  Seeing MAD axl was great, Izzy, Bach, the turnaround when BBF played Dont Cry

AMAZING!

I saw seven UK gigs and they were all great.

The majority of the UK tour was at the end of the tour which means the band was really tight.

But the following needs special mention:

June 7th - London @ Hammersmith Apollo: This is a legendary venue and to see GN'R there was a dream come true.

June 11th - Donington Park: Obvious reasons. The band was fighting a battle on stage and come out winning. A crowd full of people who couldn't care less. But at the end, GN'R won and the assholes lost.

July 29th - London @ Wembley Arena: Those covers! I was expecting a surprise in the set, but not something like that. Very cool.

July 30th - London @ Cuckoo Club: Well, what can I say? Standing in a small club at 4AM after the gig mentioned above and witnessing GN'R play an acoustic show was something truly special. I remember walking out from the club afterwards and thinking "What the hell did I just see?". It was very unreal.

I saw 4 of their UK shows, Hammersmith, Donington and the 2 Wembley shows.

Hammersmith and the first Wembley won the day for me.

I'm unlikely to ever see Guns in such a small venue as that again, and I was right on the barrier, but it was worth all the bruises to see the band close up and to touch Robin and Bumble, and strum Bumble's guitar during 'Paradise City'. smoking

I didn't enjoy Donington, it was a terrible atmosphere where I was in the crowd, and though they came through in the end, the start wasn't the best with all the various problems. Sad

The first Wembley show was immense and as Jarmo said, all those covers were amazing! beer

It's a shame the second Wembley show didn't finish the way the band wanted, cos I feel the band were on the brink of putting on a better show than the night before. ok

A special tour by a special band. yes
