Damn, I didn't know Brian Wilson was touring and playing Pet Sounds for the 40th Anniversary.  I would love to go and see that album played by the man who wrote it, but there is no way in hell I will be able to. FUCK, what a letdown.  I do enjoy the Beach Boys but I'm definitely a bigger Brain Wilson fan than a BB fan.  He's the genius behind the band and I have the utmost respect for him. He's also one of the greatest song writers of all time and I think that most people would have to agree, just based the songs and melodies he has written (whether you like the Beach Boys or not).  I did buy the 40th anniv. edition of Pet Sounds, which is like my 5th copy of this album now.  It was $15.00 at Best Buy on the release day, which was like $12.00 off the regular price, so I had to grab it.  I have tons and tons of Pet Sounds and Smile bootlegs, probably 20 CD's worth that just cover those 2 albums.  I honestly don't listen to the Beach Boys or Brian Wilson very often, but he's still one of my favorite songwriters and I have a ton of music by him.  The 'Cocaine Hamburger Sessions' being some of my favorites.

Same here.  Have the Pet Sounds box set, the bootleg Smile sessions, etc.  I told myself no more expensive shows until '07, but Brian and my fave album one last time - I must go.  Sorry, wallet...

As much as I love and appreciate Pet Sounds, I don't see myself attempting to get to one of these shows...
