I know there were threads about this in the past = I couldn't find them sorry.

Anyway - my question is.

A few months back it wa rumored that Slash wanted to renew the rights to the old GNR merch.  I've noticed on www.Rockabilia.com that a new push of merch is coming with the old logo's.  Who are we giving our money to when we buy this stuff.  The current GNR crew or Slash?

I don't know why I feel this way, but I will not buy the merchandise unless it supports the current band.  I am all for the old members getting royalties for their contribution as they deserve it, but I do not want to help line the pockets of ex-members who are getting rich off of a band they are no longer in.

Don't get me wrong, I love and respect the old members - If I want to support them, I will by VR merch.

So - foes anybody know who owned the logo's and who is getting the $$ for the merch?

if it's merch of the old band the old band should get merch, ie if its released old merchandise, then slash should get money for it. however if is new merchandise then axl n whoeverelse axl wants to get money from it should get it

I agree that the old band members should get some kind of royalties.  But regardless of who is in GNR now, they are who people are buying the merch for - not Slash.

I think it's an honest question - Is GNR seeling the merch - getting the proceeds or is it Slash selling his old logo's?
