Dizzy Reed in Philly

 Yo,
? This past Sunday,my friend Pat and I went to see Dizzy's band "Hooker's N' Blow" at the Troc in Philly. The show was great (they played about 2 hours or more!) and the Diz-man was extremely gracious and appreciative to all who attended.
Some quick "dirt" that I tried to pry from him:

? 1) Is CD definitely gonna have 12 songs or is it gonna be more??
? ? ? ?Diz - "At least 12 but,it's probably gonna be more than that."

? I'm guessin' a 15 or 16 song album then.

? 2) I was at the no-show back in Dec of '02,are you guys gonna return here?
? ? ?Diz-"Well,I'm sure we'll return but,I don't no where we'll be at,don't know if the F.U. Center,or whatever it's called now,will have us back."

? ?They'll end up at the Tweeter Center in Camden,'cause the Factory is too small.

 3)The tour starts in October?
? ? Diz - "Yeah it starts October 21st and there gonna announce dates and all of the cities in a week or 2."

? ? Good news!

 4)Any other dirt I can get from ya??
? ? Diz - "Nah,I'm sworn to secrecy."


? The man was really cool and signed everything and took picture with all who wanted them. A bit later,I was walking out of the bathroom and said to him "Has it sunk in yet that you're in GNR,is still surreal??" and he said "No,it hasn't" and then I said that Axl told him before Appetite that he'd bring him in later and he did and that was cool and he said "Yeah,he kept his word."

? Anyway,it was a good night and I'll post pics later.

Sweet stuff!

It would be great if the album ended up having more than 13 songs like Axl originally said (though I doubt it)

And I can't wait for the tour dates to be announced. =D

It would make me look less like a wanker if they'd actually had the playlist decided and the album was ready to press. 'Maybe more'. Now that means they've either not decided on the final list STILL... or possibly there may be bonus tracks. I;m still gonna go along with Axl's 2006 claim.

saw dizzy this past saturday in fitchburg, MA.

he was cool as usual---acutally all the guys in HnB are

sorry, didnt ask him about CD or anything, just thanked him for Dublin

the drummer, troy, did tell me dizzy starts GnR rehearsal for the US tour Sept. 14th or thereabouts.
