VELVET REVOLVER frontman Scott Weiland and actress Drea de Matteo presented the winner of the Best Music Look contest at the Fashion Rocks event Thursday night (Sept. 7) at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The pair had to re-do their dialogue four times during the taping, eliciting boos from the crowd, according to MTV.com. The nominees were the "schoolgirl look," the "grunge look," the "heavy metal look," "the 'Saturday Night Fever' white suit" and "heavy-metal hair," with schoolgirl taking the honors. As previously reported, Weiland performed a solo concert with producer/engineer Douglas Grean Friday night (September
at the Legends of Notre Dame club in Notre Dame, Indiana. It was the first time Scott played his new solo songs "Killing Me Sweetly" and "Beautiful Day" live. It was also the first time he covered the MARSHALL TUCKER BAND track "Desert Skies".
