Word has it that Richard Fortus will join Dizzy's Fun Side band HOOKERS N BLOW 8/19 at the Cat Club in Hollywood while Guns are off for a few weeks...

After that..Dizzy will take the Blow on the road hitting the Bayou in the New Orleans/Baton Rouge areas of Louisiana, then continuing up to the Eastern Seaboard to finish the last dates of the Year w/ Hookers N Blow..

They do one final LA based show 9/9 at paladino's in reseda and no word has been confirmed of any special guests, but who knows..

True.

But this isn't the first time Fortus joins H&B, is it? I think I've seen something about it before.

Nope it isn't. He use to join them when ever they played in NYC, he also joined Tommy a few times as well.

Richard Fortus, the phenomenon

Did you know that Richard, Tommmy and Brain worked together on an album called "Emotional technology" by B.T?

I like it very much! this is totally different from the Guns N' Roses Rock music, this is more electronic music, but there are some nice piece of music there! I especially like the track "Dark Heart Dawning" ----> stream here: http://www.emusic.com/samples/m3u/song/10866725/13421291.m3u
Some great musical ambiance there. I hope we will see some influence like that on Chinese Democracy... it would be a great musical exploration? peace

You can here some of this type of ambience on Village Gorilla Head. I like it...i think its likely we'll see some of this on CD or one of the follow up albums. I would imagine Pittman and Buckethead (like it or not Nesquick) have contributed some far out stuff to Axl's collection

Wow cool, didn't know they contributed on BT's album. However, I'm not very fond of that album, although I like BT's earlier work such as Ima and ESCM. Emotional Technology also features Guru from Gang Starr, JC Chasez from N'Sync, and Rose McGowan, and Brian Transeau deserves credit for expanding the borders of electronic music.
