Yeah ... he doesn't sound like he did in 02 ... I think he'd forgotten how to sing back then...

I thought about that myself. Nightmare. Glad it's over  Tongue

The majority of songs are better now in '06.  LALD "'02 style" is still my favorite LALD.

That's the truth.  Whatever you want to say about Axl's voice in 2002 the screams during LALD were unreal

Well I was thinking axl has gotten all this crap about no album coming out , and no work being done and such all that stuff.
he deserves all this crap

I really hated the '02 band , i found it down right sick.
its the same minus one guy

06' line up is pretty good ,
its the same minus one guy

thal while wierd has the right attitude and is such a kind person.?
same could be said for mr carrol, do u know who he is?

But I mean SOMETHING has had to be getting done , something very good , important , or sale worthy because the label has kept them right?
maybe yes, or maybe no.. even george michael has kept a label.

I mean if the label found GNR to be up to nothing then they would've been dropped ,
maybe yes, or maybe no.. even george michael has kept a label.

but they see something in them correct?
dollars!!! they see.

That just kind of re newed my faith of CD being pretty freakin awsome.
ok

after donating $13 million dollars I'm sure they would just let them leave without being compensated Roll Eyes

I'm pretty sure they got a good bid of that back after the Greatest Hits release though and those few DVDs they released that were on VHS before.

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

they are not trying to break even.  and re releasing old shit that was on VHS or Greatest Hits albums doesnt even come close to what new records sell or make. ok

Getting even it's not just about how much you make but a lot to do with what you spend to make it, and GH sold a lot as it did LE and still sells, with minimal publicity, it's a great deal.
I think that the record company it's not that interested anymore, they pressured the band to release when that article appered (all the money and AXl being impossible to workwith blabla), and now the band is pressuring them, Axl comprimised with a soon is the word date, and as far as i know the record company has no information on their pages about the release of the album, it's supposdly in 3/4 months.
This tour may be to prove that they are relevant, still a good and relieble investement and have a broad audiance that would buy a new album. The beahviour of the band and record company looks a lot with the business push around game.

The only change from 02 to 06 was Buckethead leaving and Ron joining. So its Buckethead you didn't like?

Buckethead is gone and Thal is in.
Robin doesn't look like a goth anymore
Axl lost the wigger look that he sported back then.

So all in all the group doesn't look like a freak show anymore. Plus them being much tighter helps.
